What do the different statuses mean on my business listings?

This feature is only available to Reputation Manager and Connect customers 

Each of your listings will display a status next to them. The listing statuses that can display are:
Tasks Pending - Yell is in the process of identifying the correct business listing on the publisher site.
Processing - Yell is in the process of syncing your business information with the publisher listing.
Live - Yell has successfully connected to the publisher listing and is syncing your business information.
Submitted – Yell has submitted your business information to the publisher listing.
Unavailable – Yell is unable to sync your business information to the publisher listing.
Opted Out - There is no data sync connection between Yell and the publisher listing. To create a connection, click the Opt in button.
 
In addition to the listing status, Yell will also display any issues related to a publisher listing and depending on the reason, there may be an action you can carry out to fix the issue.

You may also see a listing with a live status but that Requires attention. This may be due to a specific set of data not being synced to the publisher listing, but the rest of the data is being synced. This may occur because data in a field may not meet the publisher’s requirements.

For the following social media sites, you will see the issue status of Requires attention if you have not yet linked your account to the social platform or there is an issue with the link. You can fix this issue by clicking the Set up button and completing the social linking journey:

What is Reputation Manager?

Reputation Manager enables you to actively manage:

Reviews – request, respond and receive notifications across Yell.com, Google My Business, Facebook and more*
Social media – set up profiles, see what is being said about your company, create and schedule posts on your business social pages
Content & distribution – check and distribute your accurate business details** across relevant sites and update them in seconds
Mobile – You can also use our Yell for Business app to help manage your online reputation on-the-go

Question 3

What do the duplicate listing statuses mean?

Accepted Answer

Possible duplicate – we have detected that this listing is similar to your existing listing and may be a possible duplicate.

Processing suppression – Suppression request has been sent to the publisher and is being reviewed.

Unable to suppress – Publisher has reviewed the suppression request and has determined that the listing is not a duplicate.

Suppressed – Publisher has confirmed that the listing is a duplicate and has subsequently removed it.

How do I use the Reputation Dashboard?

With the Reputation Manager Dashboard you will be able to manage your web content, user reviews, social posing and engagement, web analytics and enhance your profile on Yell.com.

To access the dashboard, go to auth.yell.com and sign in to your Yell account with your registered email and password. After signing in you will be taken to your account page, click on the Access your Reputation Manager dashboard link to reach the dashboard.

How do I view and make social postings?

Accepted Answer

To access social postings, click on the Social posts link at the top of the Reputation Dashboard and select Social Posting.

Viewing posts

This lists all posts since you connected your pages by date. You can select to sort by most recent activity (e.g. a recent comment on an older post) or by most recent post.
You can scroll to a post and add a comment if you wish.

Create a new post

Click on Make a new post in the heading at the top of the page
This opens a box which allows you to post a message. Its length is dependent on the social sites selected
You can click on any of the social icons to deselect the post from being published to that social site
You can also add a photo, event or call to action to your post
Finally click on Post Now or click the drop down arrow and select Schedule Post if you wish to select a specific date and time for the post to be sent out

Via the Yell for Business App

You can also view and make social posts from the Yell for Business App:

On the home screen scroll down to Social and tap on Manage post
Here you can create and view your own social posts as well as see posts made on your social media accounts.

Can I access the Reputation dashboard on my mobile phone?

The best way to manage your Reputation Manager dashboard on your mobile device is by downloading the Yell for Business app. Click here to find out more about the Yell for Business app and how to download it.

Question 7

My listings are showing incorrect/irrelevant categories?

Accepted Answer

Each listing will take categories from the ones selected in the Categories section on your dashboard. If the listing does not have the category, then the closest categories will be chosen and assigned to the listings.

If these categories are drastically incorrect or you are unhappy with what we are showing, then our Product Support team can go through this with you to see what is best.

How do I implement a reviews widget on my company website?

Accepted Answer

This can be done by logging into your account, clicking Access your Reputation Manager dashboard and following the steps below:

Click on the Reviews tab in the top navigation and select Widgets from the left-hand menu.
Next, select Create from the Reviews menu item. You will see a drop down box, where you will need to select which location you wish to create a widget for.
Choose a theme from one of the four pre-set options. Once you have chosen a theme, a Live Preview will display on the right-hand side of the page. You can also access Advanced settings, where you can manually select the colour, font and size of the widget, using the Live Preview to make sure you’re happy with any changes you make.
The option to Configure your display settings allows you to enable or disable the display of any of the three sections of the widget.

Header – This shows Average Rating and total number of first party reviews. (NB: If no first party reviews have been received nothing will show)
Body – This shows the reviews and responses to first party reviews. Maximum of five reviews are displayed per page, with the most recent appearing at the top. (NB: If no first party reviews have been received nothing will show)
Footer – This shows the three review publishers that have the most reviews for your business out of 13 review providers in the Reputation Manager publisher network, e.g. Facebook, Google and TripAdvisor (NB: If less than three publishers have reviews then only two, one or none will show)

Question 9

Why can I no longer post to Google+?

Accepted Answer

Google announced that on 2nd April 2019 that they were shutting down Google+. Therefore, we are no longer able to support Google+ on our Social Posting feature for Reputation Manager customers.

Why can I no longer view my Instagram user photos?

Accepted Answer

In December 2018, Instagram announced that they were no longer allowing 3rd party developers access to the API that powered the Instagram user photos feature. Therefore, we can no longer provide this feature to Reputation Manager customers.
