Once the upgrade of your Yell website is complete, you will need to contact your PPC and/or Social campaign agency to ensure the tracking and tagging on the website for your campaign has been brought across, and correct anything missing, to minimise any impact on performance.

I have Google Analytics on my current Yell website, will that continue for the upgraded website?

Accepted Answer

If Yell has set up Google Analytics for you on the website, this will be available on the newly upgraded website. However, if you have added Google Analytics on your own, you will need to check and fix any issues with this on your newly upgraded website.

Will this website upgrade cost anything additional?

Accepted Answer

No, the upgrade of your website to a Yell Smart Website will not cost you anything additional and your monthly management fee to Yell will stay the same.

How do I remove password protection from a website page?

Accepted Answer

To remove password protection from pages, follow these steps:

In the side panel, select ‘Pages’
Select the settings icon for a specific page
Select ‘Set Access’
Select ‘Open to Everyone’
Select ‘Save’. The password protection on this page has now been removed.
Log out and clear the cache for the website and/or browser

How do I make pages visible in my website navigation menu?

To show pages in the website navigation menu:

In the side panel, select ‘Pages’
Click the settings icon for a specific page
Click ‘Hide/Show in navigation’
Click ‘Show on Desktop’
Click ‘Save’. The page will now be visible in the website menu navigation
Log out and clear the cache for the website and/or browser

Why can’t websites be edited during the upgrade process?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to edit your website while it's going through the upgrade process, which should take around 2 weeks. This is to make sure we bring over all the latest content from your website onto the new platform. If editing were still possible, we may miss new content that you would then to re-add to your new upgraded website too.

Due to the complex nature of moving content and layouts from one platform to another, it is possible that we may come across quality issues that cause delays. We want to make sure we get everything correct for you, so the process could take longer than we expect.
