How do I get access to my newly upgraded Smart Website?

Accepted Answer

Once the upgrade process is complete, you will receive an invite email from team@notifications.wix.com containing a link to access your new website. You will need to click on that link and create an account on the platform using the email you use with Yell. Once this is complete, you will be able to view and edit your website as previously.

How do I update domain settings to get my newly upgraded Smart Website live on the internet?

Accepted Answer

To get the website live on the internet, the domain(s) needs to be re-pointed at the new Smart Website:

Find out who the domain provider is using www.who.is
Login into the domain providers dashboard or contact them
Change the DNS records as follows:
1. For yourdomain.com, create an A record that points to: 185.230.63.171
2. For www.yourdomain.com, create a Cname record that points to: gcdn0.wixdns.net

I haven’t received access to my newly upgraded Smart Website

If you have received an email from Yell that says your upgrade has been successfully completed, then please check your inbox and spam folder for an access invite email from team@notifications.wix.com. This will contain a link to allow you to access your new Smart Website. If the link has expired, please contact us at https://www.yell.com/contactus/#/ and we can send out a new invitation link for you.

Why was my website with Yell not upgraded?

Accepted Answer

All paying customers with a live Yell website will have received an announcement email that they will be upgraded. We are not upgrading customers with a free website from Yell, or customers who have cancelled or failed to pay for their Yell website.

Question 10

An old version of my website was upgraded, how do I get all the new content over?

Accepted Answer

The upgrade process will look at the live and published version of your website to move over to the new platform. If you had any unpublished changes on your website when the upgrade process began, then we would not have been able to move these over.
