This article shows how to repoint your third-party domain (website URL) that is hosted with 123Reg.

 

Step One

Visit the login page, click ‘Control Panel’ and log in with your details. 


Step Two 

Scroll down and click the green arrow next to ‘Domain Names’. Select your domain name from the ‘Manage Domains’ drop down. Click ‘Manage’. 


Step Three

Under ‘Advanced domain settings’, click ‘Manage DNS’.  

 

Step Four

Select ‘Advanced DNS’ 

 

Step Five

Identify the record for:  
DNS Entry: @
Type: A 

Click on the pencil icon to edit and update the records to match the below.

DNS ENTRY:  @

TYPE: A                                    

DESTINATIN/TARGET: 185.230.63.171

Click the green tick to save.

    

Step Six

Identify the record for:
DNS Entry: www
Type: CNAME 

Click on the pencil icon to edit and update to match the below.

DNS ENTRY:  www

TYPE: CNAME                       

DESTINATIN/TARGET:   gcdn0.wixdns.net 

Click the green tick to save.

 

Step Seven

If either of the above records do not exist, you can use the ‘Add’ feature to add them. Please ensure they match the below.
